The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) bring global and local together. Superb applied research in the research centres as well as the four faculties, namely the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences; Faculty of Humanities; Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology (IT); and Faculty of Management Sciences leads to an robust teaching, learning and research environment. CUT is a world leader in 3D Printing with a particular focus on medical device technologies.

Research and Development

CUT's Graduate School provides collective support to supervisors and postgraduate students to grow their research capacities. The school provides access to best practice resources in the support of research.

Courses Offered

CUT, a higher education institution in the heartland of South Africa. Two campuses – one in Bloemfontein, the judicial capital of SA, and one in Welkom, the heart of the Free State goldfields. We offer education opportunities in a number of technological fields, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); also management sciences; humanities; and education.

Selection test

CUT's Wellness Centre administers the selection for prospective students. Selection / Admissions tests are conducted to give an alternative opportunity to students who do not meet the minimum admission requirements as determined by the faculties.

Residences

Residence accommodation offers every student the opportunity to become readily involved in all activities offered by the CUT such as social activities, sporting activities, life-skills and peer tutoring programmes. It is also an enriching experience to function in a group, doing activities that are unique to each residence.

The SRC takes the lead in many students activities and acts as a link between the students body and the management of CUT.
