The Department of Language and Social Sciences Education is responsible for initial teacher education, specialising in the teaching of South Africa's rich linguistic heritage. Our objective is to equip prospective educators with the pedagogical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and professional confidence required to promote and nurture multilingual learning in schools, FET Colleges, and other educational institutions across the country.
