A significant milestone in our institution’s journey is the official publication of the revised Central University of Technology, Free State, Statute in the Government Gazette on 14 February 2025.
The revised Statute reflects the evolving need of the institution to aligns with recent developments in the higher education landscape. It reaffirms our commitment to ethical leadership, accountability, and academic excellence.
Notably, the university Council has approved the institutional governance structure, which is aimed at improving institutional effectiveness and operational efficiency. The new Governance Framework provides clearer decision-making matrix, enhanced role clarity, and improved decision-making processes across all levels of the university structures.
The governance structure is designed to support CUT’s strategic goals and reinforce our vision of becoming a student-centred and responsive university.
