Institutional Regulatory Code (IRC)
The IRC of the Central University of Technology, Free State, serves as the central, authoritative source for all university policies, procedures, regulations, forms, manuals, and constitutions. It is designed to:
- Enhance the accomplishment of the mission, vision, and core values of CUT.
- Maintain accountability and cost-effectiveness, ensuring compliance with CUT requirements and legislation.
- Clarify how the university conducts its business.
- Contribute to effective management by providing staff and students with clear, concise, and understandable principles and procedures for day-to-day activities.
Note: Regulatory documents are binding to all members of the CUT community. Responsible officers must brief staff on the contents of the IRC, and all employees and students must ensure they understand and abide by these documents.

Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA)
