Online Registration 2022 underway - no walk-ins

The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) is gearing up to welcome about 4 677 first-year students for 2022. This after receiving about 192 327 applications (± 41 applications per available spot) for undergraduate programmes. CUT first-year registration will commence on Wednesday, 26 January 2022; and Thursday 03 February 2022 for returning students (see dates). No walk-ins will be allowed, and students are encouraged to check their application status online.

All registration processes for 2022 will be done online as part of the university’s efforts to leverage digital technologies and adapt to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines. Students who have received their acceptance letters will be informed of the registration process which will be accompanied by a step-by-step video of the process.

As we welcome new and returning students to both campuses, the institution encourages them to vaccinate as it is the best way to protect themselves and those around them from serious illness and death. The institution has vaccination sites on both our campuses. Visit the COVID-19 Information Hub for more details.

Current and prospective students are encouraged to visit the Enrolment/Registration Process webpage for further details and to check their application status.
