The RPL Application Process
Follow these steps to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning at CUT:
Initial Enquiry
Any prospective student wishing to enrol at CUT through RPL must first seek information and guidance from the university.
Contact: Academic Structure and Enrolment Services or any Head of Department.
Application & Assistance
Applicants seeking credit must apply in writing by completing the specified RPL form. The relevant academic school will assist applicants with completing the necessary documentation.

Submission
The completed application form and supporting portfolio of evidence must be submitted in person.
Contact: Enquiries Desk – Lapeng Student Centre or Admin Block.
Assessment
The RPL committee within the relevant faculty meets once a month to assess and finalise all applications received from the schools during that specific month.

Outcome Notification
Academic Structure and Enrolment Services will formally inform the applicant of the outcome of their application in writing.
Record Keeping
A copy of the outcome is securely sent to the Academic Structure and Student Enrolment Unit for official filing on the student’s record.
