Contribution towards the CUT's Vision

The five distinct strategies of the centre are designed to meet the following objectives:

  1. To produce work-ready, entrepreneurial and holistic graduates: To achieve this, the centre developed a strategic approach Unit for Special projects, Income and cooperate which empowers the university community on generating third income and train students and staff to be employers.
  2. To develop a strong culture of research and innovation: To align the center with the vision 2030, the centre developed the Unit for Research, Technology and Innovation Development, which champions quality research that enhances research culture. It seeks to empower researchers with skills that can contribute to sustainable development and provide solutions to better human lives.
  3. To build strategic partnerships that contribute to the achievement of the University’s goals: The Centre is intentional and strategic to fulfil vision 2030 of the University through developing a thematic area, which focuses on Unit for strategic Partnership and Engagement. This unit would harness various local and international partners towards enhancing CUT brand and championing meaningful and rewarding partners which advance the academic agenda of the University.
  4. To ensure institutional sustainability, expand streams of income, and enhance the CUT brand. In line with this vision, the Centre has developed the Unit for Special projects, Income and Cooperate which seeks to enable the Centre to contribute to university financial sustainability.
  5. To promote good governance, human rights and social justice: To meet this strategic goal envisaged in vision 2030, the Centre has a thematic approach called Unit for Women, Children and Disfranchised People.  It is dedicated to ensuring human rights are promoted for all people especially women and children.
