Career Opportunities
Graduates from the Advanced Diploma in Design Technology stream of study will gain exposure to the skills with the aim to make them creative practitioners (whether in communication design, fashion or visual arts practice) and allied professionals (technicians). They will also gain training in research methodology and conceptual development that will position them for further study opportunities. |
Remarks
The core objective of this advanced diploma is to promote a sound understanding of a selected process of creative production, thereby enabling students to have technical and/or technological mastery over production methods whether analogue, digital, high or low tech. The Advanced Diploma in Design Technology is designed in a manner which encourages students coming from a broad conceptual understanding of design and studio arts to focus more specifically on a selection of technologies, materials and process (high and low) in which they will specialise.
After successful completion of this qualification, an Advanced Diploma will be awarded during an official graduation ceremony of CUT.
