Registration Update: 2026 Academic Year

Dear CUT Community,

As the registration cycle for the 2026 academic year concludes, the Central University of Technology (CUT) extends its sincere appreciation to both students and staff for their cooperation, resilience, and commitment throughout what has been a demanding and high-volume registration period.

As of 30 January 2026, the University has achieved 94.5% of its approved headcount target, against an anticipated enrolment of 21 418 students. Registration progress is summarised below:

  • Total students registered: 20 194
  • First-time entering students registered: 4 780

These figures reflect substantial progress toward institutional enrolment goals for the 2026 academic year.

Support for Students Finalising Registration

While the formal registration period concludes today, the University acknowledges that a limited number of students may still require assistance due to outstanding academic, financial, or administrative matters.

Students who have not yet completed their registration are strongly urged to engage with the relevant University offices as a matter of urgency. Please note that access to academic activities, learning platforms, and institutional systems is strictly dependent on a confirmed registration status.

Students will be afforded an extension until 06 February 2026 to finalise their registration. No registrations will be accepted after this date, as the University transitions fully to academic operations. Formal teaching and learning activities will commence on 09 February 2026.

CUT expresses its gratitude to academic and professional staff for their continued dedication and thanks students for their patience and active engagement during this critical period. Any further updates will be communicated through official University communication platforms, should the need arise.
