Contributing to important conversations

The centre prioritises hosting events and activities that support capacity building within its strategic units. These initiatives are designed to empower each of the centre's five strategic units, fostering collaboration and promoting sustainable development across the research community.

The centre hosted a wonderful guest lecture by Prof. Precious Mudiwa from Appalachian State University. The lecture addressed the centre's theme on Women in Leadership. The participants in the lecture were Dr Nhase, UFS, Dr Mokhampanyane CUT, Dr Louw, CUT and Dr Mpofu from UNISA.

The centre hosted a guest lecture by Prof. Theophile Munyangeyo, Deputy Director of Trinity Centre for Global Intercultural Communications at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin. The lecture also included other guests, Dr H Magau and Mr L Ntoba

The centre hosted the all important Africa Day lecture with Prof. Chitja Twala as the main guest speaker. The lecture was supported by colleagues from University of Oxford and University of Johannesburg.
