Justice Mahube Molemela has been the university Chancellor since 2016

The Spring Graduation Ceremonies were the last chapter of Justice Mahube Molemela as the University Chancellor. She has been the university Chancellor since 2016. Her appointment was considered an aspiring moment in the university's history. She has executed her responsibilities with zeal and integrity and influenced the university's outlook on its transformative journey.
Her relationship with the university started long before she was appointed Chancellor. She served the university as a Member of the Council before being appointed Chancellor. Her previous experience of serving on the council stood her in good stead as she was privy to the challenges that the University was facing and was very aware of its aspirations to become a leading academic institution dedicated to using entrepreneurship, science, engineering and technology to conceive innovative solutions for the advancement of the university and benefit of the community it serves.
The term of her office has been a part of a remarkable achievement at the university that helped change the face of the medical fraternity in this country, to name a few.
The Centre for Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing- the university has established itself as one of the top institutions in 3D technology, especially within the medical space, where CUT is at the cutting edge of this technology.
Mega Projects- the university has maximised investment opportunities in infrastructure projects such as the Welkom Campus expansion, including constructing a multi-purpose center, student accommodation at the Bloemfontein campus and other critical academic buildings.
“The university is proud to be associated with Chancellor Molemela. We look forward to her continued association with the university and are confident we will build on her legacy”- Dr Sally Dzingwa, Institutional Registrar.
