Josephine Dzansi: A Rising Scholar in Sustainable Construction
Josephine Dzansi stood tall with pride as she graduated with a Master of Construction from the Central University of Technology (CUT), supported by her academic parents, Dr. Lineo Dzansi and Professor Dennis Dzansi. Her educational journey reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation in the built environment.
Beginning with a BSc in Quantity Surveying, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Josephine steadily built a strong foundation of technical expertise and academic depth. Her latest achievement marks another milestone in a career shaped by purpose and vision.
Josephine’s passion for academia runs deep. As the daughter of Dr. Lineo and Prof. Dennis Dzansi, both respected leaders at CUT, she has been immersed in a culture of scholarship and service from an early age. Their example has not only guided her academic pursuits but also instilled a belief that education is a powerful tool for societal transformation.
Looking ahead, Josephine is exploring the pursuit of a PhD in Construction Management, with a focus on circular construction, an innovative research area that reimagines how we design, build, and manage infrastructure with sustainability at its core. Her goal is to contribute to the development of environmentally responsible building practices that address the pressing challenges facing the construction industry.
She believes that her current qualifications have equipped her with both the technical knowledge and research skills needed to make meaningful contributions to academia and industry. Through advanced study and research, Josephine aims to champion circular construction principles that will shape future building methods and policy frameworks, helping to drive a transition toward a more sustainable built environment.
