CUT and SETA’S co-host Career Fair
CUT’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Office hosted the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) Career Fair on 15 October 2015.  SETA’s provided information and much needed career opportunities to CUT students, as well as guidance on available internships, learnerships and bursaries.

WIL prepares students for the world of work by integrating academic learning with industry-based learning. Not only are students expected to complete their WIL credit bearing module, but they are also expected to do so in an environment related to their qualification and within specified periods. This workplace learning is structured, planned, monitored and assessed at the correct NQF level. In future all CUT programmes that are three years in duration or longer must have a WIL component of at least 30 credits. Twelve (12) SETA’s were part of the fair and 400 students attended. So far R11.7 million has been raised by the WIL office in conjunction with CUT Innovation Services (CUTis) for 2015, from the various SETA’s to assist students with placement stipends, internship and bursaries” said Prof. Mabokang Monnapula-Mapesela, Dean of Academic Development and Support.
