Report Sexual harassment and gender-based violence (SGBV): Your Voice Matters

CUT is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our community. As part of this commitment, we have implemented a secure and confidential online reporting system to combat SGBV.

Introducing CiiMs (Cyber Incident and Information Management System), a dedicated digital platform that includes a Sexual harassment and gender-based violence (SGBV) Report Portal. This tool enables anyone in the CUT community to report incidents of GBV quickly, safely, and without fear.

Why use the SGBV Report Portal?

  1. Convenience: You no longer need to visit the Protection Services, Risk Office, or Ethics Office in person.
  2. Confidentiality: Your identity is protected. You can choose whether to report anonymously or with contact details.
  3. Ease of use: Simply click the link, follow the step-by-step instructions, and submit your report from any location.
  4. Evidence Submission: Attach relevant documents, photos, or files directly through the system to support your report.
  5. Tracking: Upon submission, you’ll receive a unique reference number to monitor the progress of your case securely.

Your courage to speak up helps us build a safer campus for everyone. All reports are treated with the utmost seriousness, sensitivity, and confidentiality by trained professionals.

SGBV is a global problem, occurring in all settings, including online. It is a profound and widespread problem in South Africa, impacting on almost every aspect of life. Visit our SGBV webpage for more information about behaviour, consent and types of harassment.
