Stakeholder Engagement Study: CUT community responses to mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations
The sudden and alarming surge in the COVID-19 infections in the country is a cause for great concern. This is arguably the manifestation of the so-called COVID-19 4th Wave in SA, driven by the new variant (Omicron). We have noted that many SA universities have implemented Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, following directives from their respective Council structures. It was also noteworthy that COSATU has expressed its support for the implementation of Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations.
In this context, the Executive Management have decided that it would be prudent for us to create a platform for all of CUT to share their views, experiences, support or reservations pertaining to the implementation of Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations within CUT.
Stakeholders including students, employees, parents/guardians, alumni, prospective students, regular visitors to campus, and working on campus but employed by 3rd party are invited to participate. We have created a space that will enable you to express yourself on this matter anonymously. This space can be accessed here, Stakeholder Engagement Study: mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations.
You are thus encouraged to use this opportunity to share your views on this very important matter over the coming days. The study will close on Friday, 10 December 2021.
