PORTFOLIO
Carla Labuschagne is the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator and Industry Liaison at the Central University of Technology (CUT). She supports the implementation of WIL programmes aligned with the university’s vision and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance industry engagement and student development.
Carla plays a key role in coordinating student-focused events and workshops. She was part of the Lejweleputswa Innovation Platform Team (2020–2021), which hosted online Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshops to promote sustainable business in the Goldfields region.
She holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration (cum laude) and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in Project Management, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.
With experience across various sectors, Carla has built strong communication and networking skills, maintaining a broad referral network across the Free State, North West, and Gauteng. She actively engages with local businesses and serves as a member of the Free State Goldfields Chamber of Business.
Carla also volunteers with a local NGO’s marketing team in Welkom. She is passionate about advancing student employability and fostering meaningful partnerships between CUT and the wider community.
