SHORT CV
Dr Idah T Manduna has a MSc in Botany (University of Fort Hare) and DSc in Botany from Colegio de Postgraduados (COLPOS, Mexico). She has worked as a lecturer (Ethnobotany, Biochemistry and Economic Botany)at Walter Sisulu University and is currently a Senior Researcher in the Centre for Applied Food Sustainability and Biotechnology (CAFSaB). Her research interests are in Applied Ethnobotany centred around the development of plant derived biologicals from medicinal plants and indigenous vegetables. Dr Manduna works closely with traditional knowledge holders to assist local communities on value addition projects to enhance socioeconomic wellbeing in the Free State Province.
