Dr Van Der Walt Kobus

PORTFOLIO	Kobus van der Walt was appointed in 2010 as senior researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the Central University of Technology, Free State. He holds a D Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering awarded by the CUT in 2009. His current position is that of Director of the Research Centre for Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing, a position which he held since July 2021. Dr Van der Walt’s research focuses on additive manufacturing processes, materials and applications of the technology. Specific areas of interest are medical and tooling application of the technology. He is presently also leading research into new polymer materials for additive manufacturing at CUT.
