CUT and Great Zimbabwe University fostering innovation through collaborative learning

The Central University of Technology and the Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) are increasing collaborations between the institutions. CUT recently visited GZU to strengthen further their consensus on new areas of collaboration and future exchange visits.
The programme targets postgraduate MPhil/M.Ed. and D.Ed./DPhil. students and is aimed at sharing existing opportunities and experiences in all areas of MPhil/M.Ed. and D.Ed./DPhil related research and sharing resource mobilisation knowledge and techniques.
The academic exchange programme is a tool through which collaborating universities share their expertise and experiences in areas of mutual interest and strengthen collaboration in research, innovation, knowledge creation and skills, among other things.
“Participation was very good with vigorous, engaging, in-depth and insightful deliberations by participants from both universities. The host university (GZU) management's support for the exchange programme was visible and well appreciated. Attendance by senior university staff was consistent and commendable. MPhil/DPhil candidates in the Great Zimbabwe University Agro-Innovations Research Programme were enthusiastic in their participation,” said Dr Alfred Modise, CUT Assistant Dean: Research, Innovation and Engagement in the Faculty of Humanities.
The primary purpose of this exchange programme was to share experiences in all facets of postgraduate research from topic development to publishing papers and theses.
