Notice and Invitation to submit an Expression of Interest: access subcontracting opportunities on construction projects
Admission to CUT database of CIDB registered subcontractors, PSIRA Registered Security Businesses and Trade Contractors
Central University of Technology invites expressions of interest from interested parties to submit their particulars to a dedicated subcontractor database.
The Central University of Technology, Free State, invites expressions of interest from targeted enterprises for admission to a database of potential subcontractors to access subcontracting opportunities on construction projects on their Bloemfontein and Welkom Campuses. Enterprises who are admitted to the database, depending upon their capabilities, capacities, and the required work, may be invited to submit quotes to perform a portion of a main contractor’s contract. Enterprises which are awarded subcontracts and who satisfy additional criteria, may be provided with enterprise development support in accordance with the requirements of the CIDB Standard for Indirect Targeting for Enterprise Development.
Enterprises targeted for development include 50% black owned or 30% black woman-owned, CIDB registered contractors having a CIDB contractor grading designation less than Grade 6 and who operate from premises within the Free State Province and can demonstrate compliance with these criteria.
The closing time for receipt of submissions is 31 December 2022. Submissions received prior to this date will be admitted to the database as and when they are received and after they have been processed. The database will become operational and applied in procurement processes from 15 September 2022.
An application for admission to the database may be made by fully completing the application form from Monday 29 August 2022.
