Communique to CUT community: Rugby Varsity Cup 2021

Dear CUT Community

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided that the 2021 Rugby Varsity Cup should take place in a bio-bubble. The matches will be played in Pretoria, at the Tuks Stadium and Loftus Versfeld Stadium. All matches will be televised, and some will be streamed on DStv Now and Showmax.

The Ixias fixtures are as follows:

We wish our captain, Luvuyo Ndevu, and his team; the coaches, Pieter Bergh and Tiaan Liebenberg; and the entire Team Management, all of the best. Although we cannot be physically there to support you this year, please know that the entire CUT community is behind you in spirit every step of the way. You have worked hard to prepare for this moment, and we firmly believe that your efforts will pay off.

As the great athlete Michael Phelps said:

“You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits”.

Bring the cup home!

Kind regards / Ditumediso tse mofuthu / Vriendelike groete
