Online Registration is running smoothly as scheduled

Following the successful celebration of the pass rate of the Free State matric class of 2023, the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) welcomed the first-year students at its 2024 registrations, beginning an exciting academic journey for the new students.
The registration period, which commenced on 24 January 2024 and is scheduled to conclude on 29 January 2024, is a crucial step for the incoming students as they prepare to embark on their higher education journey. The process is also crucial for the university as it sets the tone for the academic year and integrates new students into the university community.
Tumelo Setene, a first-year student from Hobhouse, a small town in Xhariep, registered for a Bachelor of Education and was delighted to hold a student card to prove he is officially a university student. “I am delighted to be at the university and looking forward to enjoying university life. I believe the experience gained will contribute to shaping me as a brand, meet and build lasting relations, and prepare me for a successful future.”
Ramosebi Kananelo, a first-year student in education, with his seniors: Sethibe Katleho, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student, and Omphile Kholumo, a fourth-year student in Education. Kananelo says he loves soccer and would love to be part of the CUT soccer team.
We also bumped into a group of enthusiastic senior students who accompanied their first-year friends to register. Senior student Omphile Kholumo said he took it upon himself to accompany his friends and homeboys to the university registrations. “This gesture is important to me because I believe that embarking on the journey of higher education is an exciting and transformative experience, and I wanted them to feel it in the comfort of a familiar person!”
