Programme-Specific Requirements

Minimum Prior Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in a cognate field, containing relevant instructional offerings.

Required Academic Performance

  • A minimum average of 60% in the preceding Baccalaureus Technologiae (BTech) or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum score of 60% in Research Methodology.
  • Research Requirement: The student, in conjunction with CUT, is required to present a suitable research project in their field of specialisation.
  • Progression: Admission to a Master’s degree (following this qualification) will be subject to a formal review process.

Programme Regulations & Modes of Study

  • Mainstream Study Mode: Normal students must apply for the part-time evening mode only.
  • Restricted Modular Modes: Modular full-time and modular part-time options (weekdays or weekends) are strictly reserved for special projects only.
  • Elective Choices: Students have a choice between BRST518 and GMST518 in the first semester, AND a choice between BRMN528 and GMEN528 in the second semester.
  • Graduation: After successful completion of this programme, the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (NQF Level 8) will be awarded during an official graduation ceremony of CUT.
