Programme-Specific Requirements

Minimum Prior Qualification

An appropriate Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7, with sufficient exposure to Quantity Surveying as the principal study discipline.

Required Academic Performance

  • An aggregate percentage of 60% in the prerequisite NQF Level 7 qualification.
  • A sub-minimum of 60% in the major subject (Quantity Surveying) at NQF exit level 7.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the necessary information-gathering, analytical, and presentational skills required at NQF exit level 7.

Programme Regulations & Structure

  • Curriculum Structure: Students are required to complete a minimum of 9 subjects, comprising 8 compulsory subjects and 1 elective subject.
  • Elective Options: Students must select only one elective from the following options: Facility Management or Lean Construction.
  • Award: After successful completion of this qualification, the Postgraduate Diploma in Construction in Quantity Surveying will be awarded during an official graduation ceremony of CUT.
