CUT's valued community opens its arms to Vice-Chancellor and Principal

Free State MEC for Education congratulates Prof. Pamela Dube on her appointment
The Central University of Technology has always had a good and strong relation with both local and Provincial government. In delivering a message of support, the Free State MEC for Education, Dr Tate Makgoe, said he hopes that many of the projects they have with CUT will continue to strengthen under the leadership of Prof. Dube. “We have quite a number of collaborations with the university, this is our second home. CUT has a special place in my heart because of its strength in Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths. I believe that if we continue to work together, we will be able to deal with all the challenges we are confronted with and as the Free State government, we promise to rally behind you and support you in all your endeavours.”

CUT Student Representative Council (SRC) from both campuses wishes Prof. Dube well on her new role
Being known for her close relations with student governance, the Bloemfontein and Welkom Student Representative Council (SRC) showed immense excitement with Prof Dube’s appointment. Both SRC presidents of the Central University of Technology campuses, shared their congratulatory messages and highlighted that they are happy for the appointment of Prof. Pamela Dube. “We hope to work closely together in making this academic year fruitful. We hope to serve the students under your guidance and ensure that CUT achieves its goal,” said student leaders Thabo Moopela and Katleho Nthaba.

Both National Education Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) and National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) leaders pledged unity, support and working closely with the Vice-Chancellor to realise the Vision 2030.
