Final-Year NSFAS-funded CUT students: Appeal process for continued funding

If you are a final-year CUT student whose NSFAS funding status requires an appeal to continue support for your concluding year of study, please take note of the following process.

Who does this apply to

Final-year students who have received notification from NSFAS that their funding is at risk or requires an appeal to be finalised for their last year of study.

What you need to do

1. Complete your section of the official NSFAS 2026 Propensity Form  (PDF) | 23 January 2026 (updated).

2. Submit the partially completed form to your respective faculty office for their input and verification.

3. Once your faculty has completed their section, you may submit the appeal form directly to NSFAS.

Timeline

Each student has 30 days from the date of their individual NSFAS funding status notification to submit the appeal. For example, if your status was updated on 15 December 2025, your deadline would be 14 January 2026.

Check your NSFAS communication to confirm your specific due date and act promptly to avoid delays or loss of funding eligibility.
