The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT), congratulates Dr Lindiwe Bokopane, Head of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at CUT’s Bloemfontein Campus, on her 2026 National Research Foundation (NRF) Y2 rating.

With over 10 years of experience in engineering, research and academic leadership, Dr Bokopane’s work focuses on renewable energy systems, electric mobility, smart grids and intelligent energy management.

Her research contributes to the development of sustainable engineering solutions, including renewable energy integration, energy storage and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, addressing emerging energy challenges in South Africa and across Africa.

CUT celebrates Dr Bokopane’s research achievement and her contribution to engineering innovation, academic excellence and the development of future engineers.
