Pothole Eradication Programme (PEP): Paving the Way for Youth Skills and Road Safety

In a powerful collaboration with the Free State Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport, and industry partners Repair Holdings, Congiela, and Maliepo, the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) is actively eradicating potholes while skilling the next generation of artisans.

The programme has already handed over 650 certifications to Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) youth learners trained in cold-mix asphalt technologies, directly improving provincial road safety and creating work-ready entrepreneurs.
