Programme-Specific Requirements

Minimum Prior Qualification

An approved 360-credit qualification at NQF Level 6 (e.g., National Diploma) or higher (e.g., Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in a related field.

Academic Performance & Experience

  • A minimum average of 55% in the final-year subjects of the preceding NQF Level 6 qualification.
  • A minimum of three years’ working experience (work-integrated learning is excluded from this calculation).
  • Preference: Given to candidates currently working in a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) environment.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Applicants who do not meet the standard academic requirements may be considered through the RPL process, subject to specific conditions.

Programme Regulations & Modes of Study

  • Availability: This programme is offered on an on-demand basis and may only be presented when the number of applicants makes it economically viable. It may not be offered every year.
  • Duration: 1 year (full-time).
  • Mode of Study: Presented on a full-time modular basis, consisting of one-week block releases per quarter (twice a semester), unless otherwise notified.
  • Curriculum: There are no optional modules. All instructional offerings are compulsory.
  • Credit Transfer: Credit transfer for subjects passed at the required fourth-year (NQF Level 7) level is permitted, subject to CUT rules, including a minimum of 75% content coverage of the CUT-equivalent subject.
