Welkom Open day 2016 a success
Ready to create memories: Learners from Harmony High School dressed-up in funky wigs and hats in preparation to take the same time developed pictures that they will keep as memories about this day.

Grade twelve learners from 26 schools in the five districts of Lejweleputswa district, parents, teachers, and church organisations came in numbers to witness the 2016 Open Day extravaganza on 16 April at Welkom Campus. Open Day is an annual event that intends to stage a credible showcase of the University’s programmes and facilities and to create a unique experience about CUT for prospective students, schools, and parents. CUT uses this day to educate prospective students and parents about what is special about CUT. On this day, learners get to experience the look and feel of the university and an opportunity to meet face to face with lecturers and deans of faculties. Learners were also granted an opportunity to apply to the university on the spot. This is not only a marketing tool for CUT; it is also an information-sharing platform to prospective students that is filled with fun and edutainment. The day was downed with competitions and memorabilia photo fun booth, where all students took pictures to create unforgettable memories for themselves about CUT.
