Mokoena congratulated the CUT men’s soccer team for making it to the top 8 of the Varsity Cup. “You are privileged to have the opportunity that allows you to balance your academics and football career because it is not everyone that makes it as a professional soccer player.”

CUT FC captain, Mr Simo Ndlovu thanked Mamelodi Sundowns player for visiting the CUT soccer team. “We feel honoured to get such a visit from people playing on a higher level, especially at a time when we are preparing for our varsity cup. To my teammates, let us work together towards a common goal, let us all play our part and make the university proud" he said.

CUT Sports Deputy Manager, Mr Thando Mboxwana added that as the technical team, they hope to maintain a position and win. “We are grateful for this opportunity to participate in the 2023 Varsity Cup. We want to push harder than the last time and to ensure that we come out victorious.”
