South African Innovator new idea dubbed insane by experts
Elon Musk, South African born innovator who has jokingly been called the real-life Iron Man, first captured the interest of the world when it became known that he was behind the peer-to-peer technology PayPal.

Musk since the start of his career has had massive success in many fields. He identified three area of interest which he feels will most affect the future of humanity; the internet, clean energy, and space. He has a personal goal of enabling human exploration and the settlement of Mars. He cofounded Tesla Motors, and is currently the head of product design. The company produced the first electric sports car. His latest project, mysteriously dubbed the Hyperloop, may be more revolutionary than anything he's done. Musk claims that the 611 kilometer distance between the USA cities Los Angeles and San Francisco could be a quick 30 minute trip. The transit system would also be immune to weather conditions. So far, he has revealed few specifics, but has said the Hyperloop would be “a cross between a Concorde, a railgun, and an air-hockey table”. Experts have suggested he has in mind a massive reduced pressure tube that would be combined with a magnetic levitation system; but there is a lot of skepticism about the project. He took to Twitter to announce that on August 12 he will unveil plans for the Hyperloop setting the scientific world to guessing until then.
