Management Sciences celebrates milestones
The Faculty of Management Sciences held its annual faculty awards on 08 March 2018 to recognise hard work and excellence amongst staff and students. The ceremony is a way of inspiring staff and students to aim for the stars; thus, reaching their highest potential.  The ceremony is also an opportunity to expose recipients to potential employers and funders.

It is a testimony that the faculty delivers high-quality teaching, learning, research and innovation practices as per the university’s vision and mission. The keynote speaker, Prof. Dave Lubbe, from the University of Free State-Centre for Accounting, advised students to remember always the basics of life. He said, “never forget the power of the basics in life and always be students, never think you have arrived in life because the great masters never cease to be students.” He also encouraged them to set high standards for themselves, balance their lives, stay focused and commit to their work and studies.
