Madam Chancellor Justice Mahube Molemela appointed as President of the Supreme Court of Appeal

"On behalf of the university community, I congratulate Madam Chancellor Justice Mahube Molemela for her appointment as President of the Supreme Court of Appeal." says Professor Pamela Dube, Vice-Chancellor and Principal.

The University is proud to be associated with Justice Molemela and is privileged to have her as the university Chancellor.

Born and raised in Bloemfontein, Madam Molemela has always been a proud Free Stater with a good record of personal support to worthy causes in our communities.

She continues to render such critical support to the university and communities through the position she holds in society. In addition, her previous experience as a CUT council member gave her the added advantage of understanding the challenges of the University and its aspirations and commitment to Vision 2030.

She remains a person of public honour, national and international stature, and prestige whose integrity is beyond question.

She has almost reached the pinnacle of her judiciary career and has a good social network, having served diligently in various social causes.

As the proud CUT community, we wish our Chancellor, Justice Molemela, the new President of the Supreme Court of Appeal, all of the best in this remarkable new journey of her career.
