Language Practice students learn more about the magic of radio
OFM General Manager Nick Efstathiou presented a guest lecture to the Language Dynamics III class. Nick is a marketing, advertising and radio guru with a passion for people.  As General Manager of OFM Nick is responsible for the execution of program strategy to gain maximum audience and facilitate optimal financial growth. 

He deals with regulatory issues, research, talent identification and training. He is also the Executive Director at Redstar Talent - central South Africa's premier event and artist representation and booking agency and for now the acting Group Marketing Manager of the Central Media group. Nick specializes in brand management and development, strategic marketing, sponsorship management, radio programming and media sales in radio, print, digital, events and outdoor. His accolades include winning a Grand Prix Loerie in 2012. The Department of Communication Sciences places a high premium on industry partnerships – to keep abreast of industry trends and expectations, but also to afford students from CUT the opportunity to meet and network with potential employers.
