Faculty of Management Sciences Excellence Awards 2016
The Faculty of Management Sciences at CUT held its annual excellence awards ceremony in recognition of its top achieving students and staff members. Top achievers received certificates and trophies for their hard work, dedication, commitment, and excellence.

The keynote speaker, Mr Tony De Villiers, an entrepreneur with a record of accomplishment of service in several financial institutions and currently serving as Director for several private entities; including Astra Travel (Pty) Ltd, spoke about the key determinants of success. He said that success can be measured in various ways, one of which is how people perceive the goal they strive to achieve. “It is not where you start but how high you aim that matters for success,” he said, quoting the late and former President of South Africa, Mr Nelson Mandela. He encouraged the awards recipients to take their success seriously and add them on their CV’s as accolades.  “When you offer your time, skills, and input recognition, always consider them as a career advancement and recognition amongst your community, it goes a long way, he concluded.
