On 19 July 2023, the Enactus CUT claimed victory yet again at the Enactus National Exposition held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg. This follows a clean sweep at the regional competitions held in April this year, where they presented their worm farming project.
12 Enactus teams from affiliated university affiliates across South Africa showcased their impactful, innovative social entrepreneurship projects and initiatives to a panel of judges, fellow Enactus members, industry professionals, and supporters.
Their months of sleepless nights, hard work and dedication paid off when they were announced National Champions for the second time in a row under the leadership of Ms Masego More, final year Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering student and current Enactus CUT president. As national winners, they will be representing the country at the Enactus World Cup 2023 in Utrecht, Netherlands, scheduled in October. The team will compete against 34 other game-changing country teams. The team was accompanied by Faculty advisor Prof. Crispen Chipunza, Co-faculty Advisors: Dr Patient Rambe and Ms Maraka Lefera.
