Enactus CUT launched its recruitment drive with an energetic outdoor activation led by Masabata Zulu from Enactus South Africa and supported by Ms Maraka Lefera, Mr Neo Moabi, and the Enactus CUT leadership team. The dynamic session introduced students to the organisation’s mission of driving sustainable community impact through entrepreneurial action.
The programme also highlighted structured overview of the Enactus journey from team formation and project development to national competitions and funding pathways. Students further learned about opportunities such as the MTN ICT Innovation Challenge and the Ford Special Competition, platforms designed to turn bold ideas into scalable solutions.

Enactus CUT alumnus and VermiVillage CEO, Mr Taelo Matlala.
A standout moment was the testimony of Enactus CUT alumnus and VermiVillage CEO, Mr Taelo Matlala, whose award-winning venture transforms organic waste into premium compost. His journey demonstrated how student-led initiatives can evolve into nationally recognised enterprises with measurable social and environmental impact.
As Taelo reflected, Enactus is more than a programme, it is a community committed to uplifting society through entrepreneurship. “At Enactus CUT, we are more than a team. We are an entrepreneurial community committed to uplifting society and creating meaningful impact. Real change begins with a single decision, and that decision can start right here at CUT,” he said.

Future entrepreneurs engage attentively as Enactus CUT veterans share insights, experiences, and pathways to turning ideas into impactful ventures.
