Enactus CUT crowned 2025/26 Enactus South Africa Summer Action Challenge Champions

Congratulations to the Enactus CUT team for emerging as champions in the 2025/26 Enactus Summer Action Challenge across various categories. The challenge encouraged Enactus teams nationwide to use their summer break productively by advancing their enterprise projects and driving meaningful community impact.

The evaluation panel assessed participating teams on several key areas, including project depth and impact, innovation, sustainability, execution and implementation, business development, marketing and communication, team cohesion, and overall progress throughout the challenge period. Teams that demonstrated clear problem-solving, innovative thinking, measurable impact, and effective implementation strategies were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the Enactus mission.

Competing against 27 higher learning institutions from across the country, CUT rose above the rest to claim the championship title.

Reflecting on the achievement, Enactus CUT President, Neo Moabi, said: “This win feels incredibly special. Our team came together this summer with one goal in mind, and we delivered. Winning the 2026 Enactus Summer Action Challenge marks our second Summer Action title since the competition’s inception. The journey was not easy, but watching everyone show up, collaborate, and push their enterprises to new heights made every moment worthwhile. The dedication displayed throughout the challenge period was truly inspiring. This achievement is more than just a title; it is proof of what we can accomplish when we believe in one another. I am extremely proud of every member of the team for bringing the victory home.”

Adding to this remarkable milestone, Enactus CUT has also secured a place among the only 12 institutions selected to compete in the 2026 Enactus South Africa National Expo Semi-Final Round (SFR). The top four teams from each SFR league will advance to the final round of the national competition.

In recognition of the team’s unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to advancing the university’s entrepreneurship strategy, Enactus CUT also received a Merit Award from the Faculty of Management Sciences.

“For decades, the team has consistently demonstrated excellence in business innovation that creates sustainable social impact. This latest achievement once again proves that our Enactus CUT team is truly a CUT above the rest,” said Prof. Crispen Chipunza, Faculty Advisor.

The award-winning team continues to thrive under the leadership and guidance of Faculty Advisor, Prof. Crispen Chipunza, alongside Co-Faculty Advisors Prof. Patient Rambe and Ms Maraka Lefera.
