CUT Students trained as mentors
CUT has embarked on a campus-wide Peer Mentorship Programme to assist students with the difficult transition into higher education.

The Faculty of Management Sciences commenced with the Peer Mentorship Programme in August of this year, and Peer Mentors have now been appointed in the Faculty to assist first year students. The first step in the process was identifying the mentors and that was followed by a training session to assist the mentors in understanding what the role would entail. The training session took place on 14 September 2014. “The training will empower the mentors to effectively carry out their roles and at the same time enhance the academic performance of our first year students.” said the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Albert Strydom.
