The Chairperson of Council, Cllr Boysie Phehlukwayo, Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Henk de Jager and the entire CUT community are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Mlungisi Madonsela, a student at Durban University of Technology.

His untimely passing is a significant loss, not only to the Madonsela family, but also to his friends and the entire higher education community across South Africa. 

On behalf of the CUT community, we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to his family, DUT Council, Management, staff and students during this time of loss.   We share in your grief in this hour.
