CUT in Talks with Gediz University for possible collaboration
Prof. Seyfullah Cevik, Rector of Gediz University in Turkey and his entourage visited CUT on 4 March to explore possible collaborative programmes in the fields of biomedical engineering and additive manufacturing- an area that CUT is emerging among few institutions in the country so far.

The delegates were impressed with CUT’s academic programmes and the similarity of those at their University.  Currently, Gediz University has a partnership with Free State Provincial Government and thirty-seven students from the province are already pursuing their studies at the University.  Prof. Henk de Jager, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic and Research said that there are a number of areas that could be explored since the two universities offer similar academic programmes. Prof. Seyfullah also thanked the university management for welcoming him and his entourage on a short notice.
