CUT Highlights the Future of South African Sign Language in Higher Education
The Language Development and Support Unit (LDSU) hosted another episode of the CUTting Talks podcast under the theme "Language, Accessibility, Multilingualism and the Future of South African Sign Language in Higher Education’’. Featuring internal guests Prof. Pule Phindane and Mrs Simone du Preez, the discussion explored the importance of language inclusivity, accessibility and multilingualism in higher education.
The episode aimed to raise awareness of the use, promotion and future of South African Sign Language (SASL) while highlighting CUT's ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where language diversity and accessibility are recognised as key enablers of student success.
