CUT football stars set for national stage after Sasol League victory

The champions: CUT ladies triumphed 5–0 to secure provincial glory and national qualification.

CUT’s ladies football team has been crowned Free State Sasol League champions after a dominant 5-0 victory over Napoli Ladies during the provincial play-offs. With this achievement, the team will represent the Free State province at the SAFA National Women’s Football Tournament, scheduled to take place in the Vaal from 8 to 13 December 2025.

Reflecting on the team’s success, Ms Shela Molekwa, Manager: Operational Sports, expressed her pride and optimism. “This is an exciting moment for our ladies. They have worked hard to be here. We wish them all the best in their tournament and hope that they will use the USSA tournament to prepare. We also hope they will qualify to play in the Hollywood Bets National League.”
