CUT Engineers embark on digital communication adoption
Step into the world of digital information in the Department of Civil Engineering with the new high-tech LCD displays. The Department of Civil Engineering at Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) received two Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens at the end of 2013 from ILISO consulting. These LCD screens will be utilised to effectively communicate to CUT students vital information that they often inquire about.

On display will be information regarding the Civil Engineering discipline, potential careers in Civil Engineering, available bursaries, student learning programmes, details concerning the registration processes, critical dates in the academic calendar, messages from the department, etc. so if you seek any information about the Civil Engineering field, be on the lookout for the two communication mediums located in the new Civil Engineering block.

The use of LCD displays is used widely in a variety of environments and the department is beginning to take a lead in reducing costs associated with costly static media such as posters and info brochures that are discarded after use.
