CUT Council tours key campus facilities and residences
CUT Chairperson of Council, Cllr Rajesh Mahabeer, accompanied by Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Pamela Dube, and Executive Director: Resources and Operations, Mr Setumo Llale, embarked on a tour of the Bloemfontein Campus to visit several strategic facilities. One of the highlights included a visit to the CUT FM studios, where they met young and talented radio personalities Ester Baatjies (left) and Earnest Mofokeng (right).
The CUT Chairperson of Council, Cllr Rajesh Mahabeer, undertook a guided tour of the Bloemfontein Campus, accompanied by Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Pamela Dube, and the Executive Director: Resources and Operations, Mr Setumo Llale.
The delegation visited several strategic facilities across campus, including the new Jewellery Building, Eendrag Residence, the Petrus Molemela Building, CUT FM studios,and the Lapeng Building. The tour offered Council members a firsthand look at ongoing infrastructure developments, operational improvements, and the overall student living and learning environment.
The CUT Chairperson also visited the newly established Jewellery Building, where he and Prof. Pamela Dube observed a lecturer showcasing students’ jewellery creations on display.
This walkabout forms part of the Council’s commitment to informed and accountable governance. By engaging directly with campus spaces and operations, Council reinforces its dedication to ensuring that CUT continues to provide a supportive, well-resourced environment that enhances teaching, learning, and student success.
