CUT celebrates Women’s month in style
In celebration of women’s month, CUT women stretched some muscles with fun and games while socialising and strengthening relations and appreciating one another.
On 30 August 2019, the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) joined the nation in celebration of Women’s month to commemorate all-powerful women of South Africa who contributed to the country’s drive for freedom and equality in 1956.
Prof. Henk de Jager, Vice-Chancellor and Principal graced the occasion and said that Women’s month is an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and their important role as nation builders. “I would like to encourage you all to celebrate who you are. Go out there and make a difference. Let us join hands to develop an institutional culture that promotes women empowerment and a gender-balanced university at all levels. Be proud of what you have achieved thus far and let achievements of others inspire and motivate you to unlock your strength and make a difference in your family, our university, your community and our country.”
