At the CUT Bru stall, students were hard at work brewing up a storm, putting their skills and creativity to the test as they prepared to take on competitors from 18 participating universities.

The CUT brewing team achieved outstanding results at the Intervarsitybrew™ Brewing and Tasting Challenge 2026, held from 22 to 24 October 2026, bringing home several awards and proudly representing the university.

The team’s achievements are a testament to the students’ hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence. We are excited to share this success with the broader CUT community and celebrate their achievements.

The team received recognition in the following categories:

• Sour/Fruity Category: 1st Place
• African Wild Category: 2nd Place
• Best Overall Beer: Sour Beer, selected from entries representing 18 universities.
