Student Residences

CUT residences are designed to maximise the educational value of the housing system, uniting student life and academic learning. Each residence is managed by a full-time Residence Manager, supported by a dedicated Warden and Sub-wardens who ensure a safe, supportive, and enriching environment.

Note: If you experience any problems with residence telephone numbers, please contact the central line at +27 (0)51 507 3911.

Our Residence Leadership Goals

  • Encourage first-year students to participate in academic support programmes for identified risk subjects, offered by the Centre for Counselling and Development.
  • Establish smaller, focused study groups within the residences in cooperation with academic support staff.
  • Involve academic and support staff regularly in residence student programmes to bridge the gap between campus and classroom.
  • Instil a strong sense of responsibility towards the broader community through organised community service initiatives.
