Student IT Support and Setup

Welcome to the Central University of Technology. This guide will help you set up your essential digital tools, including Wi-Fi, e-mail, and learning platforms.

Important Notice for New Students

After registering at CUT, the system update to add you as a registered student takes up to 24 hours. Please wait for this period to pass before attempting to log in to any platforms.


Step 1: Secure Your Accounts

The same username and password are used for the CUT Student Portal, eThuto e-Learning system, and Microsoft Office 365.

This is required for logging in to your CUT platforms, including eThuto, Connect+, Microsoft O365, and your student e-mail.

iEnabler Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What is iEnabler 2FA? It is an extra layer of protection for your iEnabler account. It adds an additional security step to your login process by requiring a unique verification code sent to your phone, alongside your password.

Action Required: When you access iEnabler, you will see a prompt to activate 2FA. Please follow the prompts to activate it immediately.

Step 3: Setup Username, Password, and E-mail

Browser Recommendation: Please use Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Opera. Internet Explorer has been discontinued and is no longer maintained or supported.

New Students: Register Your Password

You must first register your password (this is only required once). Watch the how-to video below for guidance.

Senior Students: Reset Your Password

If you are having difficulty logging in, you can reset your password. Note: You must have registered your password previously to use this reset function.

Office 365 and Student E-mail

You use Microsoft Office 365, and your student e-mail is hosted on Outlook.
